Nike Dunk is not new to skateboarding. In fact, it’s been popular in the sport since the 1980s, when skaters opted for the original Dunks with their supportive construction and flat soles. This design slowly became a staple in the worldwide skateboarding community, and Nike took notice. In 2000, Special Projects Vice President Sandy Bodecker started the Nike SB project, and one of his first moves was to better equip Dunk for skateboarding. As a result, the Nike SB Dunk Low was born.
Nike is now continuing to announce Dunk Low releases for summer 2022, and the new “Be True” version of the Nike SB Dunk Low line has been revealed as part of its annual release for the holidays. celebrate this year’s Pride Month. Today, let’s explore with Storepc about this very special version of sneakers.
The upcoming version will feature a white leather upper with rainbow stitching appearing on the heel and Nike Swooshes logos on the tongue. The coating on the heel tab has a UV effect – changing color under different temperature conditions. In addition, contrast stitching in blue and orange will appear on the tongue tab, insole and midfoot section.
Next, the side heel will have the words “BE TRUE” in rainbow color while the mismatched side laces will be in soft blue and pink. Finally, the combination of a zippered tongue, white midsole and Sail colored outsole completes the exterior beauty of this very special sneaker.
